Spiritual Capital

Spiritual Capital is a unique arts project that will explore musical interventions with vulnerable communities in correctional facilities, detention centres, refuges and in public spaces in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. The project will further the development of an ensemble of highly talented group of emerging artists who are members of the collective MASSIVE Fam (formerly known as MASSIVE hip-hop choir). The ensemble will collaborate with highly experienced  facilitators namely Andrea Khoza,  Grace Vanilau, Mary Quinsacara, Mark Yettica Paulson to produce a series of musical interventions that are designed to engage people who are on the margins of society and who are perceived to be invisible or forgotten. At its heart, Spiritual Capital is about letting people know that they are not forgotten. As folk singer Arlo Guthrie once stated “there are no throw-away people”.
